Customer–Supplier Communication in English

Most people think professional English is about using sophisticated vocabulary.

In reality, small changes in tone often make a bigger difference than difficult words.

For example, compare these two sentences:

Customer - Supplier E-mails

Small Changes Make a Big Difference

❌ “Where is the order?”

✔ “I’d like to follow up on the order status.”

This type of language is common in workplace communication because tone matters just as much as grammar.

In many companies, professional English is really about:

• clarity

• tone

• collaboration

• confidence

Simple phrases, used naturally, can completely change how communication feels.

For example:

✔ “Could you please confirm…?”

✔ “When you have a moment…”

✔ “I’d appreciate your support with this.”

✔ “I’d like to follow up on…”

✔ “Please let me know if you need anything else.”

✔ “Thank you in advance for your help.”

✔ “If possible, could you…?”

These expressions are commonly used in:

  • supplier communication

  • customer service

  • purchasing and procurement

  • logistics coordination

  • professional emails

  • workplace meetings

Clear and respectful communication helps build stronger professional relationships with suppliers, customers, and international teams.

Real communication is not about perfect English. It's about clarity, tone, and confidence at work.

Many professionals and international students today are looking for more than just accommodation.

They want a quiet place to work, reliable Wi-Fi, natural light, and a more local experience while staying in Buenos Aires.

As part of my work with ACR Idiomas, I’ve also started hosting international guests and remote workers in Vicente López — a calm residential area near the city.

It’s been interesting to see how language, culture, work, and travel naturally connect.

Sometimes learning also happens outside the classroom. 🌎
